Portland-based songwriter Alela Diane returns with her phenomenal new record, Who’s Keeping Time? (due out May 2026 via Fluff & Gravy Records), emerging from a decade spent quietly releasing music while raising her family. Backed by some of Portland’s finest musicians, she is hitting the road to perform in clubs and theaters with a full band.Her career began in 2004 with the DIY release of her debut album, The Pirate’s Gospel, which quickly earned critical acclaim and helped establish her as a key voice in the indie folk revival. Over the years she has toured alongside fellow artists such as Iron & Wine, Fleet Foxes, Joanna Newsom, and The Decemberists.Across a two-decade career, Diane has cultivated a devoted international following throughout Europe, Canada, and the United States. She has continually connected with audiences through new releases, extensive touring, and festival appearances at renowned events including Noise Pop, End of the Road, Green Man, Bergenfest, Pickathon, and Newport Folk Festival.With a fresh new band and an eager fan base awaiting her return, Alela Diane is stepping back onto the road with new music and an exciting renewed sound.Born in the Allegheny highlands of western Virginia and raised in the small town of Clifton Forge, singer-songwriter Alexa Rose first learned to play guitar as a teenager. She later moved to North Carolina to study music at Appalachian State University, immersing herself in the region's vibrant acoustic scene. Inspired by traditional Appalachian folk, blues, and classic country, Rose made a name for herself with her solo debut North (2013) before relocating to Asheville in 2015. She has since released several lauded records, including Medicine for Living (2019), Headwaters (2021) and Atmosphere (2025).
